Accreditation

Bradley County Schools undergoes a third party assessment in alignment with the quality standards developed by AdvancED. In order to receive accreditation, the system must do an in-depth, self-assessment of the quality of the programs offered. By using the quality standards developed by AdvandED, with the results of the self-assessment, stakeholder feedback, student performance data, and improvement planning, the system is better able to make the most of its available talents and resources. After the system has completed its review of programs, an external review team visits the system and verifies the reports. Through this process, accreditation is aligned with accountability.

Initially, Bradley County received accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) in 2006 and has been continually accredited since that time. For a system to receive accreditation, all schools within the system must also be accredited (an accomplishment of which we are very proud). AdvancED will be making a visit in early September 2016 to verify the latest self-assessment and to renew the accreditation for the system.
