Literacy is key to success and literacy instruction is a priority in Bradley County Schools.

Academic Vocabulary is critical to concept understanding. Robert Marzano has outlined six steps that are vital to effectively teaching vocabulary. These steps and several examples are included in the revised Tennessee Academic Vocabulary.  To see the content specific words that are required at your grade level and/or the examples, click on the following links.

TCAP/EOC sample test questions and practice tests are available on the web. It will be beneficial to your students to take the time to go through these with students to interpret what the question is actually asking.  They are worded differently this year. The sample questions will also provide a guide for you in forming your own questions when planning instruction.
